My thoughts on the resort.

The rooms are incredibly clean, the food is excellent, the animation team is involved and there are constant activities. The amp is perfect for entertainment and the time is passing well. If you have the opportunity, it's a must-visit place.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

The room was spacious and clean. The food was excellent. BUT ... ...

every night there was some entertainment (someone sang, someone did a disco, etc.) at such a loud volume that it hurt our ears. At first, we were a little disappointed that there was no pool view from our balcony, but later we thanked for the luck that our room was on the other side of the house. I can't imagine what the guests had to endure every night when they listened to such noise until 11:30 p.m. I can read from reviews that other guests have complained about noise, and hotel management hasn't done anything for improvement. Most of the restaurant/bar staff were quite ignorant. Some of them even with attitude why we are annoying them. Do not suggest this hotel, mainly because of this constant all-day noise.

A decent hotel, clean, good food.

Given how cheap it is, the hotel is fine: it’s very clean, rooms are nice and spacious, felt quite new. We liked the food as well: lots of fresh vegetables and salads, selections of different meat, always had chips etc. Most à la carte restaurants were shut when we were there as it was low season and they had one open on each night...

To book a table you have to come at 9am the same day. I came 9.02 only to find a queue and when I got to the end there were no tables left. So if you want a at an à la carte table then start queuing at 8…. Or just eat at the main restaurant buffet.

In terms of alcohol, there were decent choices. They use Havana Club for rum although other spirit brands were not known.

There is a shuttle running every 15 mins to the beach although I have to say that it’s not worth your time. It’s dark grey rough sand and the sea is instantly deep. We didn’t bother, just stayed by the pool.

Staff is hit and miss. Some were very nice but some couldn’t speak English and were a bit stingy at the bar. According to our booking we had ultra all inclusive but bar staff refused to serve us Captain Morgan even though we saw loads of bottles of it. Nothing is included on the spa, other than 30mins in the sauna after which there is nowhere to dip into - no plunge pool or shower even. Gym is tiny with old equipment and in the basement, inside pool/jacuzzi is cold.

We liked entertainment staff. Glendys (Colombian girl) was lovely, she was always making sure everyone is fine. The manager of the entertainment team (can’t remember his name) was also very friendly and fun.

The hotel is also right next to Land of Legends where there are loads of good shops, some restaurants, thème Park and water park.

Overall the hotel is completely fine given how cheap it is. You get what you pay for - if you want real 5* then pay double this and you’ll have it.
