This resort/hotel needs to really be avoided food you wouldn't feed your dog no music/entertainment ever at the pool areas most staff not all a dem are miserable they treat there own ppl who stay there like royalty treat tourists like Doo Doo ....part from that Mexico itself beautiful just that hotel dreadist lol peaceeee out ✌🏽
Hotel is nice looks lovely feels lovely rooms are nice beds are comfy. Very clean complex.
The pool, beach and sea is divine. Staff work hard in hot hot hot weather.
Food, nope never and no the food is not good, not much choice veg has been rock hard and raw. Never do your drinks appear unless you tip.
Drinks, beer is ok but everything else tastes like a cheap slushy without alcohol.
But the noise, this is a hotel not a night club, that needs to stop its not relaxing and it's not fun.
Well what can I say, Thursday night sounded like the banshes from hell (guests) had descended on the hotel. I had road noise, the restaurant below me and pool outside my door all playing different music its just plain noisy. Music gets turned of at 2300 no it doesn't it still goes on. Rave music outside my door, violin outside my balcony it is 2330 so you're not sleeping, oh it all goes back on at 0800. I can't wait to go back to work for some peace n quiet There is no entertainment.
Most building work goes on a night or has been that way on my stay.
There is a tip culture and everything seems to be an added cost.
There is a Fine for this and a fine for that do this do that.
Let me talk about the water, throughout this all inclusive stay I had 1 bottle of free water on my first day, the 2nd one in the room I had to pay for. Here's the kicker, no ice machines work no water fountains work and the only available filtered water is in the gym which gets locked at 1800. But right on the front entrance is a printed A4 notice telling you no drinks or snacks are allowed into the hotel, I witnessed many being search and told. This effectively cuts you of from water unless you buy it from the resort cafe once bars are closed. What all inclusive holiday does not provied you with daily water! This one, leave it for the local people go elsewhere
If your looking for paradise this is not it, its benidorm of Mexico.
Honest opinion this hotel nice just to many things need changing for it to be better, save your money n don't take the 10hr flight its not worth it.
The location is amazing. You should definitely come visit cancun, however not at this hotel.
It's basic at best, and the walls are paper thin. They have rules about music and noise, but this isn't enforced. Every night was a struggle to get past the noise. We were particularly unlucky with our neighbours. They liked to blast TV/music up until 2am and then again at 6am. The staff weren't much help with this. I got less sleep here than at home. It feels like the staff need to be bribed to do their jobs. Bare in mind this wasn't a cheap holiday to start with.
The food was cafeteria style, very bland and fatty. I mainly lived of salad, however, even that was lacking. The ocean restaurant was shut, and the grab and go bar wasn't included in the all-inclusive. The nice sit-down restaurant they had instead was mediocre. Probably at the standard the buffet should have been at, rather than their nicer establishment.
We've had a lovely time in Mexico, i had a really good time, but it had little to do with the hotel. It's a shame about where we chose to stay.
THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW. We didn't read any reviews beforehand and it was our fault by booking this hotel. I don't know where to start, please AVOID THIS HOTEL.
When we arrived noone explained us anything nor gave us information about hotel and its areas.
As we were all inclusive, we went for breakfast and we queued up for about 15min in line to get a table in the buffet restaurant. As soon as it was our turn, one lady told us we had to give our room number when we came as a reservation, otherwise they wouldn't let us sit down. NOONE told us about it on our arrival. After 25min of waiting to have breakfast we got a table just to see food contamination. My partner doesn't eat pork and chef uses same stencils, oil, plates and pans for all food in there. We gave a feedback to the manager but nothing was changed or done about it.
The food doesn't have any variety for breakfast or lunch in the seafront restaurant, unless you go to queue up in the buffet restaurant. We needed to ask for coffee, tea or coke as there was only 2 diluted juices. They got black coffee only, and if you wanted milk, they had some milk satchels.
There was a mini Starbucks in the hotel where you could buy a medium latte for £4.80.
Also, you need to make a reservation to get a table for dinner in their seafront restaurant and have an appropriate smart outfit (closed toe shoes, trousers) otherwise you would need to queue up for the buffet restaurant as an option B where the food was horrible and not cooked properly. We went few times across the street for some Bubba Gump Shrimps - highly recommended.
The pool bar served burgers (make sure to ask for well done as it comes pink-raw), pork hotdogs, nachos without sauces (guacamole, salsa, sour cream) daily. They were very slow behind the bar and if you wouldn't tip - you could wait 'all day' to be served. Everyone had to specify if they wanted any alcohol in their mohitos, pina coladas etc. Coke was flat from the bottles and small cans were shared between visitors. There was only one nice bartender named NESTOR. He was really friendly and knew how to make drinks, be quick and never moaned about anything. They had 2 bars and both their opening times were 11am so you would have to wait until 11am if you wanted anything to drink. The stagnant water would drip down from the corrugated roof down to the fruit garnish, and work surfaces.
Wifi didn't work in our room, it worked only in the public areas.
Most of the staff didn't speak english, and they treated us differently if you didn't tip them every time! I understood Spanish but spoke in English. The staff liked to gossip and discussed other people in front of others, which was very unprofessional behaviour. The pizzeria waitress ANAHI was rude as soon as I heard her talking about us to the bartender I asked her if she had any problems but pretended not to understand English and called 'The Manager' to come and observe us for some reason. The pizzeria chef would touch surfaces and would do pizza dough with the same unwashed hands. We even took pictures of it.
The rooms were outdated and smelled like mold. Our room faced the main busy road so we had a really bad sleep for few days till we got used it. The room had AC which worked fine. The mini fridge didn't work properly in the room, it wasn't cold enough to keep your water cold.
They constantly did their jet wash and cleaning during morning and lunch times when everyone tried to relax.
No designated smoking area. Noone was allowed to smoke on site.
They cut AI wristbands on your check out @12pm (although on the website says 11am) so you wouldn't be able to get anything if you wanted, unless you were happy to pay at the bar/restaurant.
The location was excellent. The hotel was on the beach and few minutes walk to one of their malls where you could find restaurants, McDonalds, Victoria Secret, Luxury brands etc.
The beach loungers were free of charge although everyone needed to pay for the private sun loungers with the roof. The main pool was busy at all time.
Many locals would try to sell their stuff to anyone on the beach every 10 min but security wouldn't engage with them.
Make sure to book your transport in advance as uber doesn't take you to and from the airport due to local cartels, and taxi costs a fortune.
Massive disappointment! :(
We spent three nice days in flamingo hotel resort in Cancun. The staff were super helpful and polite. Food and drinks was very good. We hope they can fix the sewer smell in the bathroom, other than that it was a great stay.
