This was one of the best holidays I have been on in 20 years of travelling. We had never been on a holiday in the October school term breaks (we’ve always been a summer family), and it won’t be the last! The hotel was big and clean. The variety of food and drink was great (the only downside was some of the summer drinks were not available being end of season)...
The kids had great fun in the aqua park with all the slides! We also met some lovely families there and had some great fun!
We took the plunge on a last minute break booked through Loveholidays. We braved the fact that we Haven't traveled since 2019 and didn’t know what to expect. My wife is a worrier but to be fair there was nothing to worry about. The hotel was fantastic. They had covered pretty much every base they could with helping to follow covid regulations. From the moment we arrived it was a safe feeling environment. It was quiet and not too many English people at the hotel. We we’re definitely the minority. The facilities at the hotel were spot on with what’s described.Pools we’re good the slides were amazing for my two teenage sons. Service was great all round at every eatery or bar. They have a patisserie which was perfect for little in between moments when your peckish.A great idea full of fancy little cakes. Food was plentiful and controlled well with the staff serving you what you wanted from behind a screen. So there wasn’t people touching. The spa was good.We had a day in there having a Turkish bath and massage the four of us.My wife then had another 3 to keep her relaxed. The staff were excellent all round the hotel making are experience better than could be expected. I’d like to mention ALI from the pool bar as a real character and an asset to the hotel.Friendly and entertaining. My 15 year old son was playing football with all the bar staff on our last evening and it really made for some big smiles.Ali you are a top guy amd deserve any praise!! Also Merve another great character who wouldn’t dare have a rest as I joked with her to take a seat on every occasion I saw her as she was constantly on the go😂😂. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. We would return one day as this hotel is good value for money and treat guests with respect it’s just a shame that all guests don’t treat the hard working staff the same. Thank you to everyone 😍🇹🇷
I want to highlight some moments and say many thanks to all the staff. We did not face any rudeness, impatience or indiffirence during our stay.
It was allowed to smoke on the balcony.
Veranda Bar is TOP. And I don't mean here a free UAI bar, I mean the bartenders. Even though they were very busy, they stayed positive and welcome. They do deserve tips!
If you stay more than 6 days you can have one of the dinners in the A la Carte restaurant (but book it as soon as you arrive, places are limited). We chose Turkish cuisine restaurant Sofra and were lucky to have a very attentive waiter Okan.
We stayed for 1 week, weather amazing, at least 24 every day, 1 storm early morning, over by 10am and staff worked quickly to clean up any chaos the wind caused, 6th floor room with sea view, we upgraded to family room and kids had their own beds upstairs so this was worth it, had a bath and shower, felt rhe room was basic but lovely, fridge could do with replacing although it worked, looked old, air conditioning not amazing so we switched it off and kept balcony door open, much more effective. Pools beautiful and surrrounding area maintained well.
Waterpark is absolutely brilliant, we got our money's worth out this alone!! The flumes are great, pirate area superb for hide and seek and younger children...
Flumes state you must be 10 but our 8 year old is strong swimmer and we signed a consent form at reception that allowed her to go on them. Could do with more inflatables due to selfish residents hogging them, adults were the worst behaved for this saying no to children deaperate for a double ring to go on with a parent 🙄 water park closes for an hour 12-1pm to allow lifegaurds to have lunch and to encourage guests to eat. Pool towels are supplied from SPA daily, return them to SPA and will be given a towel card to enable collection of fresh towels following day. Cleaning staff present throughout day to clear up water, empty bins and keep tidy, guests could help by disposing of their own rubbish.
Hotel and room very clean, room made up daily with fresh towels and toiletries. We did not see any issues with cleanliness.
Food variation is brilliant, plentiful and there is food available across various places for 24 hours. This is why our rating fell down to 4 stars as some of the food was a bit bland and not always served on plate appealing to the eye, we are not experienced with all inclusive, we don't love the bustle of going to collect food and meeting back at the table but if you can't find something to eat here then you are either a complete foodie (maybe all inclusive is not wise) or way too fussy. Examples
Breakfast: Fresh made omelette, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, 5 min boiled eggs Local sausages (would describe as hot dog texture) Loads of grilled vegetables and salad Roasted mushrooms Spinach dish Yogurts Cereals Oatmeal Fresh and dried fruit Bakery offering bread, rolls, huge selection of pastries Fresh pancakes Amazing honey Chips 😳 Drinks station Coffee (watery and weak we felt) good tea, juices and water
Lunch: we actually never ate in main dining hall for lunch but went to pool cafe or beach cafe Burgers Chips Pasta Chicken schnitzel Beef/lamb/chicken casseroles Rice/cous cous Salad bar Fruit bar Onion rings/chicken nuggets Mince wraps Bar open for beer, juice and water
Dinner: way too much to list Pasta bar Grilled fish Various types of kebab meat Macaroni dish Seafood casserole Tikka meat lamb/beef/veal/turkey Chicken with curry sauce Soup Roast meats in gravy Meatballs Chips Mashed potatoes Grilled vegetables Russian dishes Turkish dishes
Huge selection of desserts, cakes and pastries Lots of fresh fruits Cheese, salad and cold meats
Some of the cooking could be described as a little bland as could the cakes and pastries but I find this in turkey compared to our own baking/desserts (we likely use too much sugar)
Patisserie open all day for hot drinks and sweet things Pool bar serves pizza, burgers, schnitzels, salad and fruit etc most of day Beach cafe has onion rings, chips, wraps, salad and whippy cone machine all day Ice cream bar open all afternoon alternating dairy ice and turkish ice cream Pool bar and hotel bar functions all day and into night, beers, juices, water and fruity juice cocktails and iced tea Snacks of corn chip sticks or mixed nuts available from the bars
3 A la carte restaurants but only italian open this week and only on our last night, get 1 free a la carte meal if your stay over 6 days, shame others werent operating as we would have paid to go to others for a change, may be due to staffing.
Mini bar stocked daily with still and sparkling water, fanta, come, sprite
Worth noting for the money we paid we thought food and drink was great value for money.
SPA: They offer packages, it is not british SPA standard but the staff are amazing at turkish bath and massage, we got the €70 euro package and had sauna, steam room, turkish bath, 1 hour deep tissue massage, gold face mask and able to relax at private pool. If purchase this can uae turkish bath, feet fish all week... We felt amazing afterwards and kids got a turkish bath and feet fish. Could be improved with a higher standard and towel collection away from the SPA experience but that said job done as we felt relaxed after.
Entertainment: The kids club looked popular although ours didn't go, full programme of activities Tennis court/football goals but tennis net gets in way Evening shows were good although we only picked 2 we thought we would like, circus show and antolian dance show superb! We were rarely at main pool as our kids were in aqua park all day so unsure of entertainment there Games room/arcade is brilliant but money doesn't go far 😂 air hockey, pool, simulators, win a prize machines, bowling alley, and games Small crazy golf section Indoor swimming pool Table tennis Genaral store for inflatables (expensive) balls, toys, sweets, crisps, gifts, suncream, nail varnish, toiletries, pool essentials inc clothing/swim shoes, scuba diving sets etc Clothes shop for dresses, kaftans, robes, luggage etc
Staff: Absolute lovely team of people, at beginning of weak they looked a little grumpy but after observing how ignorant and rude guests were towards them who could blame them, by end of week returning our smiles and polite chat/banter exchanged. They all work extremely hard in high heat. Some guests demand things without a please or thank you and I do not know how the staff put up with such rudeness.
Overall we had the most amazing week, we are not frequent all inclusive users and the food brought our review down a fraction as could be bland however that said for what we paid it was amazing value for money. The only negatives of this holiday were due to other gueats being rude, not being able to queue and just being rude in general 🤦♀️ occasionally the lifts stopped working but never far to next ones (we were 6th floor) hotel not too busy, pretty noisy as everyone is having fun, would imagine all these resorts are similar in this regard. Would highly reccomend this reaort for lots of fun and great value for money. Would say it is 4 star british standard at most, aqua park it's high point.
We have a few objections to the hotel service. There is no baby changing table anywhere in the toilets in the hotel, which is unacceptable, there is also no adequate baby food, there are no boiled vegetables like in other hotels of that category in Turkey that we visited in previous years. No diet desk for kids-Babies.....
Hotel is very nice, big and clean. There is many nice pools and aqwapark...
